Community language learning method

Community language learning (CLL) is an approach in which students work together to develop what aspects of a language they would like to learn. The teacher acts as a counselor , while the learner acts as a collaborator, although sometimes this role can be changed.
The community language learning takes its principles from the more general counseling approach developed by Charles A. Curran. He was also influenced by Carl Roger’s humanistic psycology. Curran believed that a way to deal with the fears of the students is for teachers to become “ language counselors’.
The nature of student-teacher interaction in community language learning methog changes within the lesson and over time. Sometimesthe students are assertive as when they are having a conversation.
The techniques :
·         Tape recording students’ conversation
·         Transcription
·         Reflection on experience in class
·         Reflective listening
·         Human computere
·         Small group task
The two most basic princeples which underline the kind of learning
·         Learning is persons
·         Learning is dynamic and creative
